Parents and Friends of Radbrook Primary School, or PaF for short, is a volunteer group run by parents and friends of Radbrook Primary School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, for the benefit of Radbrook Primary School and all of its pupils. We are a registered charity, no. 1044330.
Our aims are to:
- organise fun events to raise money to buy equipment and resources to enhance the education of all pupils and the facilities of the school
- build closer links between home and school
- bring staff, parents and friends together in support of the school
On our website, you can learn all about PaF, what we do, how we do it and why, find out about forthcoming events, read about past events and discover how you can get involved.

The committee consists of elected officers and ordinary committee members. All parents of the school are automatically members and are encouraged to come along to meetings, help organise and support events, put forward new ideas, offer support, expertise, etc.
The following officials were elected to the Committee in May 2017.
|Committee members||Jeremy Bolton, Emma Cross, Kim Duff, Sarah Hodson, Amy Jones, Jenny Jones, Helen Lowther, Nicola Madin, Anna McCoy|
The PaF AGM is held in March or April each year and all parents and friends are welcome to attend. It’s also the time when we elect our new committee. Feel free to come along and see what we’re all about, see familiar faces and make new friends.
The majority of our funds are raised through events that we run. Annual fundraising events include the Summer BBQ, always a great way to finish off the school year, especially for Year 6 pupils who are graduating to secondary school, and the Christmas Fair, where a visit from Santa Claus is always a big favourite with the younger children. Past events have included beetle drives, fashion shows, snail racing, talent shows, Halloween discos, Valentine discos, Easter hat competitions, Mother’s Day stalls, Father’s Day stalls and car boot sales.
PaF is not just about raising money, although that’s important, it’s also about having fun. Our children’s discos, for example, are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support for PaF.

Originally called Radbrook School and Home Association, the group started life in April 1989, the same year the school opened. To reinvigorate the group and make it more appealing to people outside the school, the decision was made to rename the group Parents and Friends of Radbrook Primary School at the 2007 AGM. A new constitution was adopted at the same time.

This website is dedicated to all the volunteers (parents, staff, pupils and friends) — past and present — who’ve helped or supported PaF (or ‘School and Home’ as it used to be called) over the years. Thanks to your hard work and effort, PaF has been able to enhance the education of all of the children who have attended Radbrook Primary School. A big Thank You to you all.
