How the money's spent

Thanks to the support, hard work and fund-raising efforts of parents, staff, pupils and friends, PaF has been able to enhance the education of all pupils and the facilities of the school in various ways over the years. In addition to buying and maintaining equipment for the school and playground, money is used to subsidize school trips and after-school clubs, pay for workshops and contribute towards the annual Christmas trip to the pantomime and the KS1 Christmas party.

Other purchases include PE mats and trolley, CD/cassette players, headphones, digital cameras, computers, stage units, maths equipment, outdoor games, indoor games, sketch books, football kit, netball skirts, dress rails, keyboards, sound system, wireless microphones, artwork shelving units and KS1 picnic tables.

  • Contribution towards KS1 and KS2 Art Clubs (£228). For one of their projects, the KS2 Art Club made the amazing picture below. Based on the French impressionist painter Henri Rousseau's 'Surprise' painting, and featuring a tiger in the jungle about to pounce, each child painted a section on a separate piece of paper, which when put together, created this fantastic artwork.

It also celebrates the school's 20th year — 2009. It's made up of layers of fibres that are soaked with water and soap flakes and rolled many, many times. Based on photos the children took, the picture includes the school building, children playing in the playground and the local Rad Brook and trees from the school's logo.

The tile art below was made during Art Week by Year 4 (2007). It incorporates the school building, the Rad Brook and trees from the school's logo and some of the children's happy faces.
