About us
PaF is a volunteer group run by parents and friends of Radbrook Primary School for the benefit of Radbrook Primary School and all of its pupils. The committee consists of elected officers and ordinary committee members. All parents of the school are automatically members and are encouraged to come along to meetings, help organize and support events, put forward new ideas, offer support, expertise, etc.

Fund raising
The majority of our funds are raised through events that we run. Annual fundraising events include the Summer BBQ, always a great way to finish off the school year, especially for Year 6 pupils who are graduating to secondary school, and the Christmas Fair, where a visit from Santa Claus is always a big favourite with the younger children. Past events have included beetle drives, fashion shows, snail racing, talent shows, Halloween discos, Valentine discos, Easter hat competitions, Mother's Day stalls, Father's Day stalls and car boot sales.
PaF is not just about raising money, although that’s important, it’s also about having fun. Our children’s discos, for example, are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support for PaF.

AGM
The PaF AGM is held in March each year and all parents and friends are welcome to attend. It's also the time when we elect our new committee. Feel free to come along and see what we're all about, see familiar faces and make new friends.
Online discussion group
The PaF Yahoo discussion group is for PaF volunteers to discuss PaF business, including event planning (Summer BBQ, Christmas Fair, etc), fund raising and fund spending. This is a great way for volunteers to keep in touch with what’s going on and all volunteers are invited and encouraged to join. The group is moderated and only group members can post and read messages.
Notice board
PaF has a notice board in the school located opposite the school office.
History
Originally called Radbrook School and Home Association, the group started life in April 1989, the same year the school opened. To reinvigorate the group and make it more appealing to people outside the school, the decision was made to rename the group Parents and Friends of Radbrook Primary School at the 2007 AGM. A new constitution was adopted at the same time.
